EARTHWORK
& GRADING
CONCRETE
Not all concrete flatwork is created equal. This is true of both its structural integrity and decorative function. Premium quality concrete requires precisely mixing aggregates, rapid delivery to ensure proper curing, and delicate application techniques to achieve a durable finish. Various methods will produce different kinds of finishing. Smoother finishes should be saved for indoors. Smooth concrete can be slippery when wet. Brush-textured concrete is better for exterior flatwork.
PAVING & OVERLAYS
When paving on grade, new asphalt is placed on finished sub-grade or aggregate base material. Tack coat is required only on adjoining surfaces and not over the entire area. The new asphalt is laid down using the same process as the overlay below.
An asphalt overlay is simply the process of installing a new surface layer of hot mix asphalt directly over existing asphalt on either parking lots or roads. In order to be a candidate for an overlay, a pavement should be relatively sound without large areas of base failure. Prior to resurfacing, pavement repairs and transitions must be made. Cracks should be filled with rubberized crack sealer, and a tack coat applied over the entire surface. A new layer of asphalt is then placed.
UNDERGROUND
& UTILITIES
The installation of underground utilities includes pipe and other structures for the conveyance of water, sewage, gas, electricity, etc. This includes things like storm drainage systems, retention ponds, and other drainage solutions. Our underground services include potable and reclaimed waterline, gravity sanitary sewer line/force main, and storm drain.
Maintenance
ASPHALT
REPAIRS TWIN FALLS, ID
Even the best of construction materials need repair from time to time. One of the advantages of asphalt pavement is the comparative ease of making effective asphalt repairs to distressed areas. There are two types of patching in pavement maintenance: Remove and Replace (R&R) and Skin or Surface Patching. The method used to repair your asphalt depends on the type of damage or distress it has sustained.
ASPHALT
CRACK SEAL
As asphalt pavement ages, cracks may begin to appear. Cracks develop for a variety of reasons – among the most common are thermal stresses, fatigue and reflective cracking from underlying pavement conditions. Crack seal is a routine pavement maintenance service to prevent water from penetrating the aggregate base and sub-grade material below the pavement. ARS recommends that cracks with a surface opening of 1/4 inch or more be sealed.
SEALCOATING
Asphalt roadways with significant cracking have been a maintenance challenge. Reflective cracking occurs quickly with ordinary surface treatments, making maintenance an ongoing need. Removal and replacement (link to asphalt repairs page) of the roadway can be a successful but a costly alternative. The chip sealcoating system remains flexible at cold temperatures and maintains integrity at high temperatures to help reduce reflective cracking. The finished surface requires very little maintenance and is extremely durable.
Ultra Thin Bonded Wearing Course
Ultra Thin Bonded Wearing Course (UTBWC) is a treatment for existing asphalt or pavement. It corrects surfaces that are beginning to erode, crack, or ravel. This repair work is best for complete resurfacing that needs to be done quickly, without sacrificing on durability.
Striping & Parking Lot Lines
Every road and parking lot needs great lines. Keeping your lines bright and crisp isn’t only about safety, it’s also about making an impression and meeting regulatory requirements.
Being in the industry this long, we know how important it is to businesses to have striping that looks great and lasts. We don’t cut corners in the quality of paint we use and we make sure to make the application in the best conditions to ensure longevity.
Snow Removal
Snow removal and de-icing keeps pavement safe and beautiful all year long. The purpose of snow clearing and ice removal is to ensure your property is safe for vehicles and pedestrians. We use skid steers, loaders, and truck-mounted plows to make sure your roadways, parking lots, driveways, and sidewalks are clear and ready for use through the winter months.
